To those who are confused why I suddenly talk about my king, please see this international news.
My king, who was beloved by all his people, have passed away this evening.
As a medical practitioner, I saw this coming a mile away.
As one of the people of the king, I had been in denial.
For months he had been on dialysis. According to royal news.
And yet, he never stopped working
For his people, for his country.
Not a single moment, as long as he was still conscious, he never stopped working. Never stopped thinking. Never stopped inventing. Finding ways to solve his people’s problems. To solve flood, to solve hunger, thirst, and others.
Until about a week ago, he had to stop.
By doctors orders.
I saw it coming
But I cannot-
No one is immortal.
And this I copied from someone else
In all 70 years as the King of Thailand, our King had never live a luxurious life as he could do. Every day, as long as I can remember, he had worked long day and long night to help us, his people.
He traveled to all the remote areas in Thailand. Places that even us do not dare to go. Map and pencil in his hands, creating thousands of his Royal projects to help his people with water project, agricultural, healthcare and so many other things more than we can think about.
His palace, unlike any palace in this world, is the testing ground for new agricultural concept aim to improve people’s living. Many of these concepts had been implemented all over the country.
We love him not because he is the King of Thailand but because what he has done. Our King, the ordinary man who had been working to help us all his life and never asked for anything in return.
To Thai people, our King is truly the center of our love and believe in goodness.
It is near impossible to list all of his work from my mind. but I will try to highlight the more important ones that made him so SO beloved.
When we faced drought, he literally made it rain. With artificial rain, we have water during dry season. He gave us multiple small check-dams made from natural materials to retain water from rain season. And it works.
When the soil was bad, and nothing will grow, he literally returned rich soil to dry lands. He gave us vetiver grass. with its long roots, the top soil is retained and the deeper soil can receive water. The soil is rich again. And it works. in combination with previously mentioned check-dams. We now can grow our crops all year.
He used his own land to create a field study laboratory to study agricultural innovations. And implemented the success results to his people. And it works. It works wonderfully.
When we faced flood, he sacrificed his own land to be temporary submerged. And this is why my house wasn't underwater 5 years ago.
And others and others and others. I found a website briefly (but more detailed than mine) list his works here If you are interested to read more.
He literally made it rain guys. How awesome is that?
He is called "Father of the land".
And today, we have lost our father.
I cannot help but think. What will happen now? As I've heard an unconfirmed rumor that the Prince will now become king. I hope everything will become stable soon. Because right now, the whole land is weeping.
